A diificult answer: Basically uctd involves a collection of symptoms, . Physical findings and lab work that don't neatly fit into a particvualr disease category. These signs and symptoms all are seen in "connective tissue disease" but overlap the individual disease states so that there may be features suggestive of lupus, sjogrens and or inflammatory muscle disease.

Hello, I have lupus as we all as recurring pericarditis. The treatment plan would be Kineret for the pericarditis, Plaquenil for Lupus as well as a low-dose steroid. Is this a bit much or does it seem adequate?
How is active lupus or flare treated if not with prednisone if already on Plaquenil? My rheumatologist only prescribes steroids for organ involvement. How to help the fatigue, etc when working full-time?
