Methotrexate strong: You were weaned off Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) and started on methotrexate. Your therapy has been escalated. The Methotrexate is working and that is good. Your doctor will be involved with you for your connective tissue disorder for a long time. Hope this helps.

Yes: With any condition treated if a medication did not work it makes no sense to stay on it. Methotrexate is very commonly used and can be very effective as it appears to be with you.
