I have had a nagging sore throat for about a month. my doctor says its not my tonsils. i'm worried about throat cancer. the doctor says there is no evidence of cancer. what should i do?

One common problem is laryngopharygeal relux(LPR) which causes chronic sore throat. See an otolaryngologist for a fiberoptic exam .

Exam: You should have the throat examined with a camera by an ent. Another possibility is TMJ joint pain. Read my previous answer about TMJ for details.
