Hello - i have a large left tonsil, mild soreness & mild ear pain for over 3 months. i had a head & neck mri 5 months ago all fine then. dentist said yesterday tonsil looked ok but was large and to see my doctor, now im worried it could be cancer?

Cancer: Cancer risk extremely small. However hypertrophy of tonsil can cause spacial relations problems, such as partial airway obstruction. Cause of enlargement may be infection, which would require treatment. I would go one step further than your Dentist in recommending that you consult with a throat specialist, an ENT.
