Thigh Pain: Your description may represent pain referred from the nerve in your pain, may originate from the hip joint or around the hip joint such as the piriformis muscle, or the knee itself. Xrays are used to confirm a diagnosis, so before xrays a good history and physical examination will help guide the care giver on what to look for and what kind of xrays are needed.
