No: Prophylactic brain radiation does not work in nsclc. It is only effective in small cell lung cancer (sclc). There was a trial done on this and the results were negative. Hope this helps.

No: Radiation therapy is generally not given prophylactically to the brain (pci). It is used for some patients with small cell lung cancer, to prevent brain metastases.

See below: In certain situations; I am assuming u are referring to prophylactic cranial irridiation; sclc patients may benefit from pci after a response to chemotherapy/radiation.
