Brain Mets: Sorry to hear about this case. Prognosis is poor given the wide mets. Heinemann et al report that survival of NSCLC has 5-year survival of 18% for all NSCLC patients, and a 60–80% survival in stage I patients after an resection. Problems to watch out for are seizures, headaches, risk of bleed with trauma and if he is taking blood thinners for any reason. Hope this helps.
