Please see below: Myelopathy refers to pathology of the spinal cord. When due to trauma, it is known as spinal cord injury. Myelopathy is defined clinically by presence of bilateral upper motor neuron signs (pathological hyperreflexia and weakness), usually accompanied by bilateral sensory deficits, or sensory level, and bowel/bladder symptoms.
