A member asked:

Are the injuries of cervical stenosis, spondylosis and myelopathy a type of spinal cord injury? and is someone who has one of those conditions considered to have a spinal cord injury?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Myelopathy means abnormality of the spinal cord. Both cervical stenosis and spondylosis can injure the spinal cord if they progress without intervention. If these latter two are present at the time of a neck injury, this increases the likelihood of spinal cord injury.
