Degenerative changes: Cervical spondylosis implies degenerative changes of the cervical spine. These changes will occur in everyone, & typically starts in the 2nd decade of life. It involves bone spurs, degenerative disc(s), includes tears in the annulus (structure that surrounds the disc material), herniated discs. Myelopathy is a disturbance of the spinal cord mostly due to a pathology compressing the spinal cord.

Yes: Yes. The outer part of the intervertebral disc is known as the annulus fibrosis, and when it tears it is known as an annular tear. Cervical Spondylosis is another way to describe degenerative arthritis in the cervical (neck) part of the spine. Don't hesitate to discuss these findings with your doctor.
