Perhaps nothing: A dilated kidney on us can indicate a blockage in the ureter from the kidney as well as damage to the kidney. More often than not, however, this is a finding that resolves on its'own over time. It is the cost of of technology--finding things that may ultimately be of no significance. Serial ultrasounds will clarify this.
