Diphenhydramine: Diphenhydramine (benadryl) can help with sleeping: however it causes drowsiness, coordination problems, dry mouth, urinary retention etc..., do not drive or use heavy machinery if you take benadryl, (diphenhydramine) as always contact your doctor before taking any medications.

Melatonin: Melatonin taken two hours before the desired sleeptime can work extremely well for insomnia with no risk of weight gain and little risk of hangover the next day.
