What you eat: You should write down everything you eat. It would also be useful to put how you feel before and after eating, monitor the amount of exercise you are getting, too.

Everything: You should document everything you eat and drink. The more detailed you are with your journal, the more accountable you will be to yourself. Also, the easier it will be for your provider to help you formulate a nutrition plan.
