No: Naltrexone is not addictive, there are no withdrawals if stopped, however cravings may return. But in and of it self there is no abuse potential. In fact it can take a higher degree of motivation to stay on it.

No: Naltrexone has no intrinsic activity and you cannot become physically dependent on it. It has no withdrawal syndrome if it is stopped, even abruptly. If you are on Naltrexone for either alcohol or opiate abuse, it doesn't work all by itself - a support system with 12-step or other mutual support meetings is important, as is professional counseling and regular meetings with your doctor.
