Elevated liver enzymes are a common side effect of naltrexone. If your baseline liver function is normal, checking liver enzymes in 3 months after using and if there is no change, you should be fine. If you have underlying liver disease such as chronic viral hepatitis or alcoholic hepatitis, I would check liver enzymes in 2-4 weeks after starting this med.
