Unlike many drug withdrawls, withdrawling from alcohol is quite risky and requires medical supervision to ensure that someone does not suffer severe medical problems or death.

No: Dt's need to be managed in hospital since they can have fatal consequences. Don't take a chance and do it on your own. Remember that alcohol is a "natural" substance and is the cause. The medications used are far less dangerous in this context.
