Varialble: Dt's could happen anywhere from 24 hours to 5-6 days after last drink. Maybe sooner or if your alcohol use has decreased rapidly but not even completely stopped. Dts can be life threating and must be medically treated.

Get Help: If you are worried about dts, then you may well be drinking very large amounts of alcohol. It is not safe to withdraw on your own, and seizures and dts can cause great harm, up to and including death and brain damage. Dt's tend to occur on day 2-5 after stopping alcohol. Please call your doctor and/or go to an emergency department for evaluation. Milder withdrawal can be treated outpatient.
