A member asked:

What is considered a highly positive dsdna? mine is 18 with a normal range of less than 9.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not the number only: A titer of 1:18 for ds dna is elevated, and is often associated with systemic lupus erythematosus. However, it is the trend in value that is more significant than a single one-time read. So in 6 months, if it is 1:36, that would be more of an indication that the disease is progressing or non-responsive to treatment.
