You need help: Your orthopedist should be able to arrange for a home health nurse of some sort to help you. If you are going to suffer adverse consequences then a home health individual can usually be arranged for. Discuss this with your health insurance company too. There are programs to help with these kinds of things, since if you get readmitted it costs everyone a lot. Investigate this further.
