You will be able to return to sport between 4-6 months. It may be longer in more severe cases. Although there is no fracture by imaging test but spine stress reaction is sometimes called stress fracture which is most commonly in adolescent athletes 12-19 year olds when starting a new sport, changing surface or when increasing frequency, intensity or duration of sporting activity.
