HDL-cholesterol: A basic cholesterol test quantifies the total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and trigylcerides. The hdl-cholesterol is considered the "good" cholesterol. High levels of HDL over may be helpful in preventing the development of coronary (heart) artery disease. Best of luck!
