In an HDL particle.: Cholesterol is cholesterol is cholesterol. It has both good and bad properties. In the bloodstream cholesterol can be packaged in one of two different particles, the LDL particle or the HDL particle. The HDL particle is considered the "healthy" particle, essentially pulling cholesterol away from the blood vessel wall and delivering it back to the liver.
