Your : Your legs giving out may be from your back (spinal stenosis compressing your leg nerves), blood vessel problems (blood vessels get blocked and the muscles don't get enough blood when walking) or joint problems. The most concerning part about your legs giving out to me is that you may fall down and break something. I would recommend seeing your primary care doctor. I have swelling on the right hand side of my body, mostly face and foot(ankle area). Its not major but there every day. Some days worse than others. My foot also gets sore if i walk alot. I had X Rays of my foot and ankle and nothing is broken. ?
