I : I agree with dr. Funari. Before treating a symptom, it is important to understand the cause. How long have you had your symptoms? What are your specific symptoms? When was your last chest x-ray? Do you have a significant smoking history? When was the last time you were examined for this? These questions should be addressed by your physician who then can give you something for your "bronchitis"/cough that likely would be prescription given the severity of your symptoms.

Migh need to see Doc: Plenty of water, hydration is very helpful for bronchitis and cough but if is persistent or there is fever needs to see a doc.

Narcotic: a narcotic cough suppressant (used only at bedtime) can help reduce your night time cough and help you get some rest. Cough from bronchitis can last for months as the airway lining heals. Steroid inhaler can sometimes be effective as well to reduce airway irritability leading to cough. Please discuss with your treating provider. Hope this helps. Best of luck. Dr R
