The : The first item to discern is to determine if there is extra skin, bulging fat above the muscles, separation of the vertical abdominal muscles or fat within the deeper cavity that is pushing outward. Once that is established then the proper procedure can be selected for you. If only localized fat in the front and sides of the abdomen then liposuction can give be used to sculpt these areas. Otherwise the abdominal muscles need to be tightened with removal and contouring of the skin & fat. A complete evaluation will choose the procedure that is optimal for you.

Probably : Probably not, but several less invasive or non-invasive alternatives exist. If your skin is adequately elastic and sub-cutaneous fat is the primary issue, then liposuction may be a viable less invasive alternative that can be performed without general anesthesia. Non-invasive, safe and painless exilis radiofrequency "melts fat" and tightens without surgery, but not to the extent a tummy tuck would.

If : If you have extra skin in the abdominal area, you have to excise it.. There are no other means of getting rid of that extra.. It's like losing weight and trying to wear the jeans that are way too big, you either buy new ones or have the old ones tailored. Good luck from nyc. For more info visit www.Drgrossman.Com.

Tummy tuck options: A tummy tuck is for those folks with extra skin and soft tissue. Many who have lost weight & have extra skin want the excess taken away. Some just want to fit into pants better. The abdominal muscles may also have spread out with pregnancy or just over time. A plication sews them back together. This flattens the tummy. If it's just fat then lipo may do see a board certified plastic surgeon.
