Chin : Chin liposuction is a fairly straightforward procedure, with a rapid recovery. The main issue is whether you truly have excess fat that can be removed by liposuction, or whether you have loose skin, muslces and other tissues. If the skin and muscles are of good quality, and there is an accumulation of fat that can be suctioned, the results can be excellent. Otherwise, you may benefit more from a facelift or neck lift. Yes, : Yes, it is called a cervicomental liposuction.Hopefully you have been thoroughly evaluated by an appropriately trained and experienced surgeon. Things that they will consider, in addition to location of the fat deposits, is the condition of the overlying skin and underlying muscle groups. Many times liposuction alone will not result in an acceptable cosmetic result if there is redundant skin and / or dehisence (separation) of the underlying muscle fibers. These problems will need to be addressed with a surgical procedure where the muscle fibers are tightened and some skin is removed allowing for the creation of a nice tight smooth neck contour. The choice of incision placement depends upon the surgeons preference, areas that need to be addressed, and whether there is the presence of an existing scar.
