Hello. : Hello. Over time the whiteness can lessen. Consider the effects of things like tobacco, coffee, tea, or dark sodas just to mention a few. Avoiding certain staining foods, rinsing your mouth with water after eating, etc. Can help to keep them white longer.

The : The whitening effect will fade with time. It is normal as you will continue to eat an drink ... And live a normal life! however, when teeth have been professionally whitened, they easily can be "re"- whitened or touched up. Whitening tooth pastes work very well in helping them stay their whitest. Be sure your dentist sends you home with trays for later touch up after you have had professional whitening done - you will want to touch up with them every 8 - 10 months or so. Take only one time for a few minutes.

Just : Just few words to understand how teeth whitening works. As you know, teeth have microporsities, through them any staining drink or food or simply colored bacteria that normally resides in in mouth, penetrates through them, the coloring is then translated into faded or yellow colored teeth. The whitening products available, work as a declogging agent oxygenating (cleaning) those micro-tubules and consequently your teeth will look whiter and brighter. The degree of concentration of the active ingredient(peroxide derivatives) will act as a speeding factor. I hope this explanation gave you an understanding that whitened teeth if not maintained "will fade" and as mentioned by my colleagues touch ups will always help maintain the healthy appearance you want to have. Good luck.
