A member asked:

I'd like to get some baking soda to whiten my teeth but can only find baking powder.are they both the same thing?

Different things: Baking soda and baking powder are different. Baking powder is only about one third baking soda and two thirds other chemicals. There are more effective ways to lighten teeth than this. Your dentist can do this for you. Or over the counter white strips will work.
