Hello. : Hello. Because of the vascularity of the scalp, goose eggs are not uncommon with injury. There are a number of possible symptoms that can occur with a concussion. A headache is the most common symptom. Ringing in the ears, confusion, being unable to remember what happened just before or just after the accident and loss of conscious can be seen. Look for nausea, vomiting, irritability, restlessness, emotional labiality, lethargy, or becoming tearful. Seeing bright lights, blurred vision, double vision, slurred speech, repeating the same thing over and over, difficulty with balance and change in sleep patterns may also be seen. If your two year old shows signs of concussion, then she should be evaluated. Take care.

The : The forehead is highly vascular. This is a collection of blood. It will slowing resolve but may drain down giving the child "raccoon eyes" for several days. In the absence of significant vomiting or behavior change, there is no reason for neuro-imaging.
