See below: Sounds like abscess, boil, or infected cyst. Any recent injury to area—scratch, insect bite? Try warm compresses to encourage it to open & drain. Wash with warm, soapy water; pat dry. If lump gets larger, redder, more painful, see pcp for treatment. If u have history of boils, may need antibiotics.
