A member asked:

11 month girl bumped head front forehead, and the bump swelled like an "egg". what to watch for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neurological signs: Most head bumps in children are benign and they recover without problems. Parents should watch for unusual behavior, decreasing level of consciousness, vomiting or seizures. The size of the "goose-egg" is not usually related to internal brain injury.
