You : You need care. Insurance, or not. There are many hospital based residency programs, as well a dental schools who would offer free, or reduced dental care for you. If you have periodontists and do nothing, you will loose your teeth. Please go see a dentist. Best wishes, dr. Zev kaufman.

It : It is very important to get the periodontal disease under control. It can lead, ultimately, to tooth loss. Talk to your dentist about feasible payment arrangements. Do some research on periodontal disease and it's how it can affect your body, especially your heart and circulatory system. In the mean time, make sure you are flossing at least once a day and use an anti-microbial mouthwash like listerine or pro health from crest. Try to brush 3 times a day.

Plano, With : Plano, with no insurance, periodontal scaling and root planning could run around $800 to $1000 in my office. Your choices will be to suffer with a foul oder, inflammation and infection that can lead to loss of all your teeth and potentially effecting your overall health or scaling and root planning then if successful just a lifetime of maintenance. Maybe considering creating an easier environment to keep clean by removing those "extra" teeth and/or straightening the remaining teeth. You've already tried ignoring it, that is probably what got you in this situation. Hope this is helpful, michael i. I : I suggest you brush your teeth at least 3 times a day and floss each night. I would see a dentist and ask for recommendations and what gum treatment will cost you. The earlier stages of gum disease can be treated with a procedure called deep scaling. If cost is an issue, i would also look into being treated at an area dental school.
