The : The only way you will ever know for sure what is happening in your mouth is to have an examination with radiographs from a trusted dentist in your area. No one can diagnose whether or not you have problems without examining you. Just because you brush your teeth and have no pain does not mean you have no problems. Hope this info helps.

You : You must go see your dentist as soon as possible. Anything else that i can tell you will be purely speculative and will do no good. If as you said you have no problems, then great. However if you consider genetics, you should really go see a dentist.

I : I can't tell you that the same thing will happen to you but i know that the best chance that you have to avoid that fate is to seek professional care asap. You're actually very lucky not to have had a painful experience up to this point but don't push your luck. Modern dental techniques can save teeth and offer you a lifetime of comfort---give it a chance and make a call.

You : You so far have been lucky and have not had any major pain or problems that had you on your knees screaming in pain either from an infection. Brushing your teeth everyday will not protect them forever. You do not floss and i would think by now, you should start having periodontal problems because flossing helps to remove execss food trapped between teeth which turns into tartar and plaque. This sooner or later, with no pain involved, causes your teeth to loosen and fall out. It is called perio disease. If you do not want to end up like your mother, i suggest you go a dentist and have an exam and full mouth xrays done and let him tell you the condition of your teeth. You may be lucky and have only minor problems, but you do not wait 26 years to see a doctor if you feel you have a small growth that is getting bigger but does not bother you and you watch it and do nothing about it...Do not take chances with your teeth...You only have one set and it would be nice that you could keep yours!

Russian Roulette: Oral diseases are painless at first and easy/inexpensive to treat. By the time you have symptoms your problems are advance/expensive. Please do yourself a favor, have a comprehensive Dental examination and a Medical physical.
