Some digestive causes, nasal pathology or metabolic alterations can be the problem. On the other hand if someone close to you doesn't agree that your breath is bad, you could be overreacting. Halitosis can be caused by so many things, including acid reflux, your diet, periodontal [problems, and cavities. Without a thorough exam by both your physician and dentist, you will probably not determine the cause. Brushing is often not enough and will not solve your problem. Make the calls.

Most common cause of bad breath is failure to remove sulfur producing bacteria from between teeth, where no toothbrush can ever reach. In other words, floss or WaterPik DAILY. If your halitosis does not disappear in 2 weeks, try using a tongue scraper (your Dentist can show you how. If that doesn't work, have sinuses/tonsils checked. Then evaluate for GERD, diabetes. other systemic problems.
