I : I have noticed with my patients that juvederm & Restylane (dermal fillers) usually last over a year, but the initial results usually lasts about 9-10 months, then the body starts to eliminate the material over the next several months. I think the biggest issue comes from the injector. If done correctly, your results will be on the longer end-a year +. If not injected properly, your results will not last. Your metabolism may have a role, too. If your metabolism is extremely high, you will end up eliminating the material quicker. From what I have seen, it is not that noticable of a difference. I have a hygienist who is a fitness nut-she teaches boot camps, high impact aerobics, runs marathons and is training for a triathalon. When i did her filler(juvederm), the initial results lasted over about a year and it took over 4 months longer for it to completely eliminate. The second time i did her filler, this time with radiesse, almost 2 years ago, there is no change at all. She looks the same now as she did june '10 when i injected the radiesse. Hope this helps. Good luck!

The : The manufacturers of any product will often tout the best case scenario, but as the saying goes, don't believe everything you read (or hear for that matter). Juvederm (by allergan) is a very good hyaluronic acid facial filler used widely for facial aesthetics. Depending on where it is used, how it is injected and in whom it is injected, the duration of the improvement may vary from a few months up to 1 year. For example, in the lips the duration is much less than in the under eye area.

Everybody's : Everybody's immune system is different. Although it has been reported, i've never seen a case where the juvederm only lasted 4-5 months. In fact in my experience it frequently lasts longer than "official" information.

Depends on the : Location where it was injected, as well as individual variation/metabolism. In my experience, it lasts the longest in the lower eyelid / tear trough area, and less around the mouth / lips.

Juvederm: Juvederm is a filler made of hyaluronic acid. Typically it lasts 6-12 months, with touch ups even longer. be sure to have your face evaluated by a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

Depends: How long Juvéderm lasts depends on several factors. The biggest is which formulation is injected. Voluma can be up to 2 years, Ultra Plus up to a year and Ultra up to 9 months. It also depends on where it's injected. Areas with more movement (like your lips) break it down faster while in areas with less movement (like your cheeks), it can last longer. Also depends on injection technique.
