That : That always depends on 2 factors: you and your injector. Do you swell a lot with a scratch? Do you bruise very easily? If yes, then you will have some down time. Ice and arnica will be your best friends. I always send my patients home with mini ice packs and recommend arnica for dissolving bruises. Don't worry, you will not look like you elephantitis after the injections. Sweeling is usually very minimal and usually goes down in less than a day. Good luck!

Marketing verbage: Quite right - swelling or bruising is certainly "downtime". But many manufacturers like to downplay these possibilities. For most patient's the swelling is minor, especially if you are conservative with the amount of material injected. You'll have to decide if you are comfortable with that idea.
