You : You may need to have a tetanus shot if your immunization is not up-to-date. However, if knife did not nick a deep vessel, internal bleeding is unlikely and deep clots are even more remote. If you have any doubt, you should go to your nearest emergency room.

Make : Make sure that the wound has been washed out well with soap and water. Keep it clean and dry. Get checked for any signs of infection (red, hot, swollen, drainage, red streaks, fever). If you aren't up to date on your tetanus shot, this should be updated.
