Hi there. ive been experiencing chest pain, a rapid heart rate (which i normally do have), shortness of breath and pain in my right leg, thigh and arm. i am worried that it could be a blood clot as i am on contraception and had a +d dimer in april?

Doctor can evaluate: Chest pain and difficulty breathing are signs that she should talk with her doctor right away or go to the ER. She should not drive herself (call for an ambulance if symptoms are more than slight). Aside from a deep venous blood clot, other possibilities are an abnormal heart rhythm, myocarditis, anxiety attack symptoms, a collapsed lung, pneumonia, etc...

Your heart problem could be the culprit, not anxiety. You should be evaluated first with a family doctor then a cardiologist if needed.
