Cincinnati, : Cincinnati, i am sorry to hear of your recent symptoms. However, if you already believe that you have mercury poisoning any answer that the fine dentists graciously responding from this site will probably be disbelieved. If you truely have mercury poisoning i would look into any fish or seafood you have eaten. Otherwise, my real recommendation is to find a skilled diagnostic physician who has seen symptoms like yours before. Michael i. Wollock dentistry at suburban square 610-649-0313.

As : As the other panelists have answered, your question is nebulous. The "light" you describe as a high intensity light which cures a white filling, not a silver filling. The light has no effect on your body other than hardening the white filling. Your symptoms mimic many other medical problems other than mercury poisoning. As always, your best bet is being treated physically by someone who can examine you in person.

I : I am not exactly sure what your question is, but if you believe that you got mercury poisoning from either your fillings or the fact that you felt your dentist held the light on your teeth too long, then you are mistaken. There is no credible evidence that says dental fillings cause mercury poisoning. What do all the physicians say?
