Dentist had to do fillings in lower left quadrant of mouth. when he numbed me up, my vision went crazy and i saw double. he said normal..is it???

Can happen: Depending on exactly where the anesthetic was deposited, a peripheral nerve other than the ones he was trying to numb may have been affected. If this in some way affected your eye, then you may have "seen double". After the anesthetic wore off, if your eyesight went back to normal, you should be fine.

Can Happen, but...: Not "normal". I have been practicing for 34 years and have never had this happen. However, it can happen. The nerve pathways can be different in each of us and are often overlapped. The injection for the lower jaw often goes to the area from which multiple branches extend. If the branch going up to the upper jaw was affected , you could have effects in the upper area. As long as they went away.
