IT : It is best to be at a stable weight to achieve a longterm result. If you plan on losing weight after the mini tummy tuck, it would be best to do that first. If you plan on gaining weight afterwards, don't do the procedure. Losing the weight is ideal for not only cosmetic reasons but for your overall health and to minimize perioperative risks.

Lose First: Patients planning on undergoing any type of body contouring surgery should try to be as close as possible to their long-term stable weight prior to undergoing surgery. Doing so will undoubtedly improves safety and outcome. Better to lose wt.: As you lose weight, you'll have more looseness in the tummy skin. Add your surgeon can correct it better for you, at your lighter weight. Plus, the result will look nicer. Think of the tummy tuck as a reward for the hard work of diet and exercise, rather than some sort of "jump start".
