Although : Although it is a smaller procedure and done usually under local anesthesia, the swelling and bruising are similar to all other facial procedures, the claims that it has less bruising when you compare apples to apples is false. You likely will look fairly good with make up after 7-10 days.

As : As a former surgeon for lifestyle lift, i would highly recommend inquiring with your local facial plastic surgeon about minimally invasive facelift procedures. The original lifestyle lift procedure has a short lasting effect which you will likely have to repeat within two years of surgery. There are similarly minimally invasive facelift procedures that may be done under local anesthesia that are more efficacious. That said, there is minimal swelling after minimally invasive facelift surgery, the bruising really depends on how easily you bruise and whether you follow the post operative instructions you are given by your surgeon. Generally, it is advisable to avoid alcohol, Aspirin or nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (motrin, advil (ibuprofen) etc). The bruising ranges from mild to moderate and is easily camouflageable by concealer makeup which can be applied as early as the next day after surgery as long as it is not applied over the incision lines. My warmest recommendation is to at least inquire with your local facial plastic surgeon about the indication for surgery and your options. The lifestyle lift company has a tendency to push its doctors and consultants to suggest surgery for nearly anyone walking in the door.

Unknown: It is a lift, although not a good one nor a long lasting one, so you may have as much bruising but in a smaller area. It will nto treat your eyelids.

Lite Lift recovery: Recovery time from a facelift varies from person to person, but patients can generally expect to be presentable within three weeks from surgery. Patients should expect swelling, bruising, and discoloration of the skin during this phase of recovery (swelling normally goes down after 48 hours; most bruising will go away within two weeks). The marks from a facelift are noticeable at first, but are ea.

Research this!!!: Lifestyle lift is a heavily marketed form of a mini-facelift. Since not a lot is done, the recovery is quick. The technique is not particularly good for looseness in the neck area, so other additional procedures are frequently required, at extra cost. The duration of the effect is also short.

Facelift: There are different types of facelift. A lifestyle lift is basically a mini facelift, which is a lower facelift. It will not lift your eyes or get rid of your wrinkles, per se. For any type of facelift, if you prepare for surgery as directed by your surgeon, your bruising and swelling can be minimized.

Facelift: Bruising and swelling are real concerns for patients that under go a facelift. I use a laser to dissect the tissue - http://www.drkulick.com/face-procedures-san-francisco/laser-assisted-facelift/ This technique seals blood vessels as the tissue is divided. Hope this helps.

A : A liftestyle lift is basically a type of minilift that is done without general anesthesia. Swelling may be less with any mini-facelift as less work is done but your results may also be affected as well. Whether a mini facelift is right for you depends on your current anatomy. Importantly, a mini-facelift (or traditional facelift for that matter) won't life your eyes or treat wrinkles. A blepharoplasty improves the eyelids. There are many options when it comes to wrinkle treatment (resurfacing, filler, topicals such as retin-a) that depend on the type of wrinkles and location. To get a better sense of what treatment(s) would best serve your concerns you should consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon who has expertise in performing treatmens such as these on the face.

Brand not technique: The lifestyle lift is a brand and not a particular technique. It is not unlike saying will i get the same haircut each and every time i go to supercuts! there are hundreds of surgeons and therefore hundreds if different techniques not to mention the patient variations in response. The degree of bruising is a function of the technique, pre-op preparations, and patient's own bruising tendencies.

As much: Bruising and swelling may as much as in a classical facelift but the result might not be as good or durable. It does not lift your eyelids. You will need a blepharoplasty to improve your eyes.

Mini versus regular: Lifestyle lift is a mini facelift. The skin flap raised in a mini lift is shorter than a traditional lift so the healing is quicker, but the results may not be as long lasting. Neither lift will treat the eyes, so a blepharoplasty would be needed with either alternative to treat the eyelids.

Ask Surgeon.: Much will depend on exactly what procedure is being planned; therefore, best to ask your chosen surgeon about realistic expectations when it comes to the amount/duration of swelling postoperatively.

Facelift swelling: If you follow your surgeon's perioperative instructions about what medications and supplements to avoid, you can minimize your bruising and swelling. Most patients re sociable after a week or so after a facelift if they are compliant.
