I had a small cyst removal between my eyebrows doctor never mention swelling would occur. i have swollen eyes with bruises as well, is that normal?

Yes: surgical trauma to the delicate structures of the face, head, neck will swell (usually at a peak 3-5 days after surgery) and bruise. This is in part due to the fact that there is a hard bony under structure so swelling has only one way to go... out and laterally following the natural tissue planes. Ice, Ice, Ice and Ice some more.
