Any : Any answer provided without an examination and review of your x-rays would be speculative. One possibility could be "ulnocarpal impaction, " in which the end of the ulna abuts or touches the wrist bones. That woud cause pain on the pinky side of the wrist, and may be especially painful when you move your wrist towards the pinky or twist the wrist.

Proximal : Proximal row carpectomy is a good operation but a tricky one and usually done in situations that are not straightforward i.E relative arthritis in addition to ligament injuries where the arthritis may be difficult to grade. The mechanics of the wrist are highly complex. You would need to be carefully evaluated by your doctor possibly with an mri, possibly a fluoroscopic exam under anesthesia. Unfortunately there are times, even when the operation is done well, that the results are not ideal. Hard to say in your case without careful evaluation. Best of luck.
