Given : Given the symptoms you described, you should not take the two drugs (ability and nortriptyline) together. It seems that their actions potentiate each other and cause the undesirable side effects. If your condition is such that it requires that you take an antidepressant and an antipsychotic medication, it is necessary to look for a better combination of the two. You should discuss your symptoms with the prescribing physician.

No: You should seek medical advise to find prescriptions that do not have such severe side effects. A swollen tongue is potentially very dangerous. Go to the er if you cannot speak.
