I have a forth and fifth metatarsel fracture since about oct.18 ..do i need surgery ?it still hurts no money who can help? i was released for work after two weeks of home time with foot elevated but it just got worst as i was working .went back to emer

Most : Most metatarsal fractures will heal without surgery, but you really need an xray to decide. It is very likely that the fractures are healed and you can go back to work. You will have to shell out for the xray, but most hospitals and doc offices will work out a payment plan.

Fracture: If you are still having pain there may be an improperly healed fracture or even a false joint. You will need to see a podiatrist who will take x rays and guide you appropriately. Good luck.
