Pain : Pain in the right lower hand side of the abdomen could be appendicitis, but it could also be a kidney stone, kidney infection, bladder infection, or complications of pregnancy. You should definitely see a doctor to get urine tests to check for infection and/or pregnancy, as well get examined to determine whether you need the scan you mention in your question.

Go to the ER: Definitely could be appendicitis. Only way to know is to consult a professional.
