Normal w bipolar?: Diligence in monitoring your symptoms, moods, and the amount you sleep are critical! you cannot do this without a trusted friend, relative or therapist to help you monitor yourself, because denial ain't just a river! when you are manic, you may not see it until you're in trouble--same with depression. How many hours you sleep is a key, and should be logged. Adjusting meds often will help.

BIPOLAR: Get an evaluation from a psychiatrist to help identify what bipolar means to you and whatever else may be bothering you. Consider recommendations for medication if any are given. Get a referral for a reputable psychotherapist to speak with. Meds and therapy combined are most optimal; no just one or the other.
