A member asked:

So stress can actually makes the tearproduction stop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I don't know but....: Stress causes a variety of physical symptoms that vary from person to person. Usually a "flight or fight" response ensues with rapid heart rate, shortness of breath, blood flow shunted to extremities, pupils dilated, muscles tensing and sweating. All non essential systems are on hold so teardrop production could be one of these systems.
