What should i expect after an orbital fracture surgery?

Swelling/Irritation: After surgery for an orbital fracture, most patients will experience swelling, bruising, and irritation. These are typically short lived. Because these surgeries involve work around delicate structures of the eye, your surgeon will likely follow you closely initially to make sure there is not a reduction of vision as this may suggest compromise to the blood supply to the eye.

Swelling, bruising..: Depending on the type of fracture, you may have double vision, orbital pain, swelling, bruising and eye irritation for the sutures and numbness in the face and teeth. All of these should resolve with time, although some may be permanent, especially if present before surgery.
